Runtime Error 127 Causes and fixes

As similar to other windows errors which are caused due to some problem in windows DLL files or Registry problems Runtime error 127 belongs to same category as well. As you all know , most of the windows errors occurs when some DLL file is corrupt or fails to get loaded in the RAM when it is needed by the application program or your operating system.

How to fix Runtime Error 127
  1. Most of the times , Runtime error 127 is caused because of corrupted or outdated Msvcrt.dll file and Stdole32.tlb file. These are present in Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library and these are the most important files for loading applications. You can copy and paste these files from some other computers having versions same as yours or you can download it for windows 7 from following link :
  1. If you have just installed some software , it might have changed your Regional SettingsSo check and correct your Date/Time settings if it is not correct already.
  2. Some programs tries to update using their supportive plugins and may result into Runtime Error 127 when they encounter some problem in doing that. Sometimes even Norton Antivirus plugin may create such headache for you. To get rid of this , you need to disable all unnecessary plugins from your browsers as well as from Internet settings under Control panel. (For windows 7)

Goto Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Manage browser Add-ons > Manage Add-ons
Under this , disable all unnecessary add-ons.
